Anthony Catalano, CEO and President, TerraLUX Inc.
Dr.
Anthony Catalano is the founder and President of TerraLUX,
Inc. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Brown University.
He has served in senior management positions in University,
Government and Industry. Dr. Catalano was co-founder of
the semiconductor division of a well-known Fortune 500 Company.
In addition, he founded SemiConductor Strategies to publish
strategic reports providing in-depth technical analysis
of emerging semiconductor technologies with expert insight
into the real market opportunities they present.
Dr. Catalano's entire career has been focused on semiconductor
technology, especially compound and thin film issues. He
has authored or co-authored well over 100 journal articles,
as well as several books and book chapters, and holds numerous
patents. He has been involved in several different application
areas including high-speed ICs, photovoltaics, and flat
panel displays.
Dr. Catalano is a senior member of the IEEE, and is a current
or past member of the American Physical Society, the Society
for Information Display, the Materials Research Society,
The Telecommunications Industry Association, American Chemical
Society and American Vacuum Society. He has served as an
advisor to senior management for several Fortune 500 firms,
as well as Venture Capital organizations, helping them develop
and refine investments in new technology. He has also provided
expert support and testimony in patent litigation, and helped
clients develop stronger patent portfolios.
Carl Kalin, Vice-President Sales and Marketing, TerraLUX
Inc.
Mr. Carl Kalin is responsible for all sales and marketing
functions worldwide for TerraLUX, Inc. He received his Bachelor
of Science in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and did subsequent graduate studies
at M.I.T. and University of California at Los Angeles.
Mr. Kalin has served as marketing and sales director for
over two dozen start-ups in his career. He has been the
founder and president of the first AutoCAD systems integrator
in New Jersey and he founded the Jedi Consulting Group to
support the launch of high tech startups for venture financed
and privately held high tech companies.
Before becoming an independent marketing consultant, Mr.
Kalin held various marketing and sales positions in Fortune
500 companies including Digital Equipment Corporation, Tektronix,
Apollo Computer and Data General. At Digital he was a sales
manager with a unit quota of over $25 million in annual
revenues.
Mr. Kalin began his technical career at NASA where he worked
as a data systems engineer on advanced research projects
for man-machine interfacing funded by DARPA. He continued
technical work in the aerospace business working for an
Air Force systems integrator designing voice recognition
systems, satellite control and missile defense systems.
Dan Harrison, CTO and Director of Engineering, TerraLUX Inc.
Mr.
Dan Harrison is responsible for technology development and
product engineering for TerraLUX, Inc. He received his Bachelor
of Science in Electrical Engineering from the California
Institute of Technology, and has never strayed from his
love of cutting edge engineering from interplanetary spacecraft
to patented optical tracking systems used in brain surgery.
Mr. Harrison has extensive industry experience in both
aerospace and medical sectors as well as a long list of
scientific and consumer products. His broad engineering
expertise includes hardware, software and firmware experience
from DC to optics. Major world re-nowned projects he has
designed, developed, produced and delivered include CCD
focal plane assemblies for Caltech's Planetary Science -

Mr. Harrison is also an inventor and coauthor of patents
for semiconductor electro-optical devices and precision
scientific measurement devices. In addition, he has extensive
experience with manufacturability concerns regarding NASA/DOD
high reliability specifications.
